Maintenance cycle of water quality monitoring
Mar 08, 2025| The maintenance cycle of water quality monitoring equipment usually includes daily, weekly and monthly maintenance work.
Daily maintenance
The following inspections and maintenance should be performed daily:
Remote inspection: Check the operating status of the instrument, the data transmission system and the video monitoring system by remotely viewing the data or on-site inspection. If the data is found to be abnormal, go to the site for inspection immediately.
Automatic calibration: Automatically calibrate the zero point and range of the TOC, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus water quality online automatic analyzer, COD water quality online automatic monitor, and UV absorption water quality online automatic monitor every 48 hours.
Weekly maintenance
The following maintenance work should be performed weekly:
On-site inspection: Check the operating status and main technical parameters of each automatic analyzer and auxiliary equipment to determine whether the operation is normal.
Pipeline and equipment inspection: Check the tap water supply and pump water intake, check whether the internal pipeline is unobstructed, whether the instrument automatic cleaning device is operating normally, check whether the sample water pipe and drain pipe of each automatic analyzer are clean (clean if necessary), and clean the water pump and filter regularly.
Circuit and communication system inspection: Check whether the circuit system and communication system in the station room are normal.
Electrode and standard solution inspection: For instruments measured by electrode method, check whether the electrode filling liquid is normal, and clean the electrode probe if necessary; check whether the standard solution and reagent of each instrument are within the effective use period, and replace the standard solution and analytical reagent regularly according to relevant requirements.
Data consistency check: Observe the operation of the data acquisition and transmission instrument, check whether the connection is damaged, sample the data, and compare whether the data received by the automatic analyzer, data acquisition and transmission instrument and host computer are consistent. Monthly maintenance
The following maintenance work should be performed monthly:
Instrument maintenance: Perform maintenance on the online monitoring instrument for water pollution sources and the instrument analysis system; check and maintain consumable parts and replace them if necessary.
Sampling system maintenance: Replace the peristaltic pump tube and clean the mixed sampling bottle of the water quality automatic sampling system according to the situation.
Specific instrument maintenance: For example, check the pump, tube, and heating furnace temperature of the TOC water quality automatic analyzer, check the reagent residue (add or replace if necessary); use acid to clean the electrode of the pH water quality online automatic analyzer, check whether the electrode is passivated, and calibrate or replace it if necessary.
Other maintenance: Check the grounding of the monitoring instrument and the lightning protection measures of the monitoring station; check the height change of the flow meter liquid level sensor, and whether there are objects that interfere with the measurement between the ultrasonic probe and the water surface, etc.
